Jessie J: I’m ‘so proud’ of Ariana Grande

Jessie J is "so proud" of Ariana Grande.
The ‘Bang Bang’ hitmaker was thrilled to see her collaborator had been nominated for two Grammys and praised the singer’s amazing work ethic.
She told People magazine: "I’m so proud of her, she works so hard. Music is a feeling, and there are some people that can put how you feel into a lyric, and a melody to a lyric. And I think that’s the beauty of music, and I think it can take you to a place that not everyone knows how to be taken to. I think musicians are able to create a feeling in three minutes that someone needs for a lifetime."
Meanwhile, fans of the 28-year-old singer will be hoping for new music to be released soon as Jessie previously teased she was working on some new tracks.
In a series of posts on Twitter, she said: "Been listening to Aretha, Whitney, Earth Wind and Fire, D Train… Feeling oh so inspired …
"I’m getting SO excited to create a new LIVE show. I know I haven’t got music yet BUT I can’t wait to bring back the older material & SANG (sic)"
At the time, Jessie also spoke about giving up her stints as a judge on both ‘The Voice UK’ and ‘The Voice Australia’ so she could focus more on music.
She said: "I’m not going to be returning to ‘The Voice’. It feels so good. I love doing the show. I’ve done four seasons. Two in the UK and two in Sydney but I just need to make another album. It’s really time consuming and if I’m honest with you. I get to the point where I’m in the chair and I just want to sing. I want to tell you how to make it better, I want to coach you, but I want to make it a duet. I’m ready to write another album."
