Jessica Lowndes relationship with Jon Lovitz was a prank

Jessica Lowndes has confessed she was joking when she revealed she was dating Jon Lovitz.
The 27-year-old actress-and-singer fooled her fans into thinking she was engaged to the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star – who is 31 years her senior – when she was, in-fact, promoting her latest music video which features the 58-year-old comedian.
Jon was seen in the ‘90210’ star’s Instagram posts as she referred to him as her "ice cream daddy’.
Her antics which included posting a picture of an engagement ring and pictures of her with her older boyfriend were all in promotion of her song ‘Déjà Vu’.
She posted a video on Instagram yesterday (28.03.16) coming clean about the truth.
She said: "I know it’s the last week of March but is it too early to say April Fools?"
In a statement, she also said: "I love a good prank so happy early April Fools. Jon and I met in Hawaii last year when we worked together on Hawaii Five-0. I fell in love with his humour and comedy so when I was looking for someone to be a part of my ‘Déjà Vu’ remix, which is a nod to the 80s Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and 90s Pop Up Video, he was the first person to come to mind."
In the video, the brunette beauty plays Jon’s young lover, and the pair’s relationship is hounded by the media.
Talking about the video on Instagram Jessica wrote: "I love pop up videos and mystery science theater 3000 and thought this would be a fun way to make fun of myself and entertain my fans. And what better partner in crime than comedic genius Jon Lovitz! (WARNING PG-13 ish) Directed by @randallslavin (sic)"
