Jess Glynne covers Amy Winehouse at Evening At The Races show

Jess Glynne performed a touching cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’ at her concert at Sandown Park on Wednesday night (13.07.16).
The Grammy Award-winning singer took to the stage as part of The Jockey Club Live presents An Evening At The Races series of shows and her tribute to the late jazz legend received a rapturous response from the crowd at the racecourse in South East England.
It wasn’t the only cover that Jess included in her set, as she also performed her own versions of Chaka Khan’s ‘I Feel For You’ – originally written and recorded by Prince in 1979 – and CeCe Peniston’s 1991 hit ‘Finally’.
As well as the trio of cover versions, Jess treated her fans to a set list packed with her hit singles.
Highlights included ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ – which she opened her show with – ‘Hold My Hand’ and ‘Rather Be’, her collaboration with Clean Bandit which catapulted her to fame.
Jess, 26, was in a giggly mood all night and chatted and joked with fans between tracks and even boasted about the money she won from gambling on the horse races that took place from 6pm until she came on stage just before 9pm.
Jess will perform two more concerts as part of the Evening At The Races series at Newmarket Racecourses, Newmarket, on August 12 and at Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, on August 13.
The pop star is donating percentage of her ticket sales to the Retraining of Racehorses charity – which looks after the welfare of former racehorses.
Speaking about her involvement with Retraining of Racehorses, she said: "Supporting a charity specialising in retraining retired race horses is a pleasure, the work RoR carries out is incredible, protecting the welfare of these beautiful animals."
Other artists performing at The Jockey Club Live presents An Evening At The Races series include Mark Ronson, Busted, Little Mix and Bryan Adams.
