Jeremy Meeks’ estranged wife Melissa suffered a miscarriage "at the same time" as their marriage broke down.
The 38-year-old nurse has been through a difficult time after splitting from the tattooed model – who is now dating Topshop heiress Chloe Green – after eight years of marriage, and though she initially thought the "continuous bleeding" was suffering was a result of the stress of the situation, she was then told by doctors she was losing a baby.
Speaking to RadarOnline.com, Melissa said: "Not only was I grieving the loss of my life and my husband, I also had to grieve the loss of a child at the same time.
"I was under so much stress and so many emotions.
"I described to the doctor my spotting and bleeding and he said based off of what I was saying about the continuous bleeding, I probably was passing the baby."
Meanwhile, Melissa is currently seeking sole legal and physical custody of her and Jeremy’s son, seven-year-old Jeremy Jr., and claimed in court documents her estranged spouse only sees the youngster "maybe two days a month".
She went on to slam the 33-year-old model – who is nicknamed ‘The Hot Felon’ after being discovered because of his mug shot – and said he "basically lives as a playboy with a rich girlfriend".
She is also seeking child and spousal support.
She wrote in her court documents: "I am not yet sure of his income, but I am sure it is more than mine."
Jeremy’s ex claimed he now drives $150,000 car and has lots of jewellery, and she said their marriage ended after the hunky star’s "success went to his head and he left us".
