Paul McCartney has ‘fun’ breaking the rules of songwriting

Sir Paul McCartney says he’s still writing songs with the same rule‑dodging, wide‑eyed mischief he had as a teenager.

Jenny Newby gets followed into the toilet by fans

Jenny Newby was pestered by fans whilst she was on the toilet.
The ‘Gogglebox’ star – who joined the Channel 4 show six years ago with pal Lee Riley – has become a big hit with viewers, and has attracted a die-hard group of supporters who have gone to extreme lengths to get a selfie with her.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "It’s lovely when people recognise me. They are always asking to have a picture.
"I got asked when I was at the hospital and ended up doing a selfie with the doctor."
However, Jenny was caught off guard when a fan followed her into the toilet to take a snap.
She continued: "And it even happens when I go to the toilet. One time, I was going for a wee and I’d just got my bum on the seat when I heard a girl saying, ‘She’s in here somewhere’ because they were so keen to have a selfie with me!"
Jenny and Lee have become a hit on the Chanel 4 series, making people laugh across the country from the inside of her caravan at Sand le Mere.
But the pair weren’t always so sure about signing up to be on national television, with Lee having doubts.
He previously said: "I’d never heard of ‘Gogglebox’ to be honest and I didn’t want to do it.
"I’d say it took her about an hour and a half to talk me into it – about as long as it took me to get me out of bed."
Despite her loyal following, Jenny doesn’t feel like she’s earned her fame and thinks it’s odd that strangers are desperate to talk to her.
She added: "I’m on the TV sitting in my living room, so I’m just like the people who watch ‘Gogglebox’. I’m not a celebrity. I just sit down and watch telly like everybody else.
"When anybody talks to me I find it strange because I’m thinking, ‘I’m just watching what you’re watching’."
