Jennifer Metcalfe is finally moving in with her boyfriend after four years together.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress is expecting her first baby with long-term boyfriend Greg Lake but the couple have never officially shared a home because their work commitments mean they have to be in separate cities, but now they are laying down roots before their child enters the world.
During an appearance on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (16.05.17), the 34-year-old star said: "We never lived together before because of work. His business is in Newcastle and I’m in Liverpool filming for ‘Hollyoaks’ so we don’t get to spend much time together. But I am so excited to live with him. We are just like best mates."
Despite the couple not living together before, Jennifer isn’t nervous about sharing a home with Greg because she already knows all of his bad habits but she is unsure about marriage at the moment.
She said: "I know all his bad habits and I don’t feel nervous. I trust our relationship. It’s like being with your best mate all the time. I don’t know about marriage. He is definitely the person I’m going to be with. We always wanted to do the kids thing. I think we will play it by ear."
Jennifer and former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Greg’s baby is due very soon and they have resisted finding out the sex of the tot so they can enjoy the surprise of having a boy or a girl.
She said: "I don’t want to know. I want to get through the last push … I feel like I have had an eight-month hangover and it never ends. I’ve had everything from lack of sleep, constipation and sickness. I told Greg I can ditch the holidays but all I want to do is sleep, poo and eat! I’m just looking forward to this one arriving."
Jennifer, who has been on the Channel 4 soap for 11 years, also confirmed she will be taking a year off ‘Hollyoaks’ after the baby is born.
