Jeff Lynne’s ELO announce 2018 UK arena tour

Jeff Lynne’s ELO have announced a UK arena tour for 2018.
Following the legendary group’s show-stopping performance at The SSE Arena, Wembley in June – which has been turned into the ‘Wembley Or Bust’ Live CD/DVD, set for release on November 17 – the ‘Strange Magic’ hitmakers will head out on an eight-date run kicking off at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on September 30, and concluding at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on October 23.
Sharing his excitement about the forthcoming shows, which includes a night at London’s The O2 on October 17, Jeff said: "Our audiences are amazing. It’s like they’re in the group. We can’t wait to play for them again."
Last year, the band performed at the world famous Glastonbury festival in Somerset, South West England for their Sunday afternoon legends spot.
Jeff Lynne’s ELO – formerly known as Electric Light Orchestra/ ELO – were a hit with the crowd on the famous Pyramid Stage and impressed fan Noel Gallagher, who admitted before the festival that they were one of the few bands he was looking forward to seeing at the event.
At the time, he said: "The line-up isn’t exactly great though. Not talking about the headliners, but the entire thing … I think, ‘What am I going to see?’ ELO, they’re good. I try to go every year with the missus. We didn’t go last year so we’re going this year and I have the time off."
The ‘Mr. Blue Sky’ stars followed in the footsteps of the likes of Dolly Parton, Tony Bennett and Lionel Richie by playing the special slot.
Jeff is famous as the co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys together with Bob Dylan and the late Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Tom Petty.
He’s also world class producer and collaborator having worked with some of the biggest names in music including The Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, and most recently, Bryan Adams.

Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s 2018 arena tour dates are as follows:

September 2018
Sun 30th Nottingham, Motorpoint Arena
October 2018
Weds 3rd Glasgow, SSE Hydro Arena
Fri 5th Manchester, Manchester Arena
Tues 9th Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena
Weds 10th Birmingham, Arena Birmingham
Mon 15th Leeds, First Direct Arena
Weds 17th London, O2 Arena
Tue 23rd Liverpool, Echo Arena
