Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s estranged husband is wanted for this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini – who is known by his nickname JB – is reportedly being lined-up by bosses of the jungle-based show to head to the Australian outback later this year for the forthcoming series.
A source told NOW magazine: "He’d really like to become a UK TV personality. When he was with Cheryl he shunned the limelight but now he’s single he wants to build up his reputation.
"He wants to get himself on screen as is in talks to get onto a big ITV show. I’m sure the guys behind ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ would love to have him on board and JB may consider that."
However, if the French hunk does decide to take ITV up on their offer, his stint on screen will unlikely sit well with his estranged wife Cheryl, whom he split from last year following just 18 months of marriage, because she doesn’t want him sharing details of their doomed relationship with the nation.
The source explained: "JB is a businessman and he’s always looking for different opportunities but whether Cheryl would be very keen on the ideas is doubtful – after all, it hasn’t been the easiest of break ups and the pair are technically still married."
Meanwhile, JB isn’t just on the hit list for the jungle as he’s also being urged by bosses of E4 to join ‘Made in Chelsea’ after he became involved in a love triangle with Nicola Hughes and Alex Mytton.
‘Made in Chelsea’ star Jamie Laing said earlier this month: "It would be amazing to get JB on the show. It would be such a good storyline if we got JB on the show with Nicola.
"Nicola’s single so she should just go for it. It’s fair enough, he’s a good looking guy."
