Jay Hernandez felt proud to play a Latino superhero.
The 38-year-old actor, who plays El Diablo in the movie who has the ability to conjure fire, has admitted a Latino superhero has been "long overdue".
Speaking at the film’s New York premiere on Monday (01.08.16), Jay said: "Having a Latino superhero is long overdue – we’ve been waiting for it, and David Ayer had the balls to put it out there. I can’t believe I’m the first one. It’s pretty ridiculous not to have diversity in a movie like this."
