Janice Dickinson’s fiancé has been seriously injured after falling from the roof of the couple’s home.
Dr Robert ‘Rocky’ Gerner was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles on Friday (07.10.16) after falling 15ft while doing repairs on their roof and he has been left with a collapsed lung and several broken ribs.
Janice’s representative Stephen Lenehan told DailyMail.com: "Rocky fell from the roof while doing home repairs at around 10am Friday morning.
"Unfortunately he has sustained serious injuries including a collapsed lung and about five broken ribs.
"Rocky is surrounded by family and Janice, who is obviously distraught and has not left his side.
"He is very handy and loves doing the work around the house himself. He’d gone up on to the roof to carry out some minor repairs and lost his balance and fell.
"He fell on to a pile of bricks and rocks at the back of the house and was in a lot of pain.
"He was on his own but luckily had his cell phone in his pocket and called 911."
Rocky, 69, has been sedated and Janice, 61, remains by his side at the hospital.
It has been a tough year for the pair, as Janice was diagnosed with breast cancer in March.
Her doctor found a lump in her breast during a routine examination and after an urgent mammogram and biopsy she was found to have a common form of the disease known as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
However, after a "harrowing" six weeks of radiation treatment, she received good news about her condition.
She said previously: "I went through six weeks of radiation, which was very harrowing. But the radiation is over, I’m free for the grace of Gods … so cancer-schmancer!
"But I really want to bring awareness to this and now I am full blown working in charge of working for all breast cancer charities because it is a serious disease that affects millions of women."
