Jaden Smith is making a film based on his new album

Jaden Smith is making a film based on his new album.
The 19-year-old actor – who is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – recently released his debut album ‘SYRE’, and the star has admitted his efforts will not stop there as he is currently directing a movie based on the compilation, which will explore a boy’s journey to manhood.
Speaking to Billboard about the coming of age film, the ‘Fallen’ hitmaker said: "It’s an actual film that plays out that has characters. There’s no rapping, really, in the whole movie. It’s just about the story of Syre.
"It’s really just become a legacy of this guy, this kid, who chases the sunset. And then one day, it chases him back and he can’t get away."
However, ‘The Karate Kid’ star has yet confirmed whether he has cast any actors or actresses in the production yet, although it has been rumoured Jaden will take on the lead role as the story is based on him and his struggles.
He said: "It really is the story of me coming to be a young adult, and it wasn’t easy at all."
Jaden has revealed the one person he aspires to be like is the South African billionaire Elon Musk, because he wants to be a person who simply wants to help in "any way [he] can".
Speaking about his inspiration, he said: "[I want to be seen as] a person that is trying their hardest to be like Elon Musk – somebody that’s trying to be an artist, and somebody that’s trying to help in any way I can.
"When people think of me, I want them to think of the person that is always giving back to something, or someone."
Despite Jaden’s famous parents, he still takes his celebrity status seriously and knows the entertainment business is "not a game".
He added: "[I] don’t take this lightly, this is not a game."
