Jade Ewen: I don’t see other Sugababes

Jade Ewen no longer sees her Sugababes bandmates.
The 28-year-old singer-and-actress – who replaced final original member Kesha Buchanan in the girl group in September 2009 – admits she has had little contact with Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range since the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2012, but insists there is no bad feeling between them.
Admitting she doesn’t see her former bandmates to HELLO! magazine, she stated: "I’m thankful that our relationship didn’t end on a band note."
Last August, Jade was declared bankrupt and though it was a "difficult" period for her, she is thankful to be able to make a fresh start.
She said: "It was difficult. But it’s given me a fresh start."
Jade can next be seen playing Princess Jasmine in ‘Aladdin’ on London’s West End and feels incredibly "lucky" to have landed such a dream role.
She said: "I knew I would absolutely love to play Princess Jasmine but it felt like a dream that was too big to get carried away with.
"Because of my pop background, I’ve had to prove myself more I guess. When I got the call to say I’d got the part, I was screaming and crying.
"I really do appreciate this, I feel extremely lucky."
