Jack Swagger wants to make movie with Vince Vaughn

WWE Superstar Jack Swagger wants to make a movie with Vince Vaughn, Bill Murray or Chevy Chase.

The 32-year-old grappler would love to follow in the footsteps of fellow wrestlers Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dave Bautista and launch a Hollywood career.

Rather than take the action flick route, Swagger thinks he would fare better in a comic project and his dream would be to land a role opposite one of his comedy idols.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I would absolutely be interested in going into movies. I’m a pretty good singer, I’m an OK actor, and I know I’m a pretty funny guy so I think comedy would be my better route starting off. I’m a big Vince Vaughn fan, I love Will Ferrell. Bill Murray and Chevy Chase are two of my all-time favourites, those guys are great. I could watch those guys’ films over and over again."

Swagger also likes Owen Wilson’s early films but he thinks the actor has got "weird" like "Tom Cruise in recent years.

He added: "I like early Owen Wilson films – not so much Owen Wilson now. He’s a bit like Tom Cruise, he’s a little weird."

Although Swagger is interested in starting an acting career his main focus this year is to do well in the ring for WWE and feature as much as he can on the company’s flagship TV show ‘RAW’.

He said: "I’m focused very much on what I can do for WWE right now. It was great that 2014 was such an exciting year for me. There’s momentum there that I want to build on to make 2015 even better."

On March 29, Swagger will be competing in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale match at ‘WrestleMania 31’ – which can be viewed via a subscription to the WWE Network for just £9.99-a-month or on Sky Sports Box Office.

In April, he and the other WWE Superstars will be heading to Britain for the WWE UK Live Tour. Go to www.bookingsdirect.com for tickets and information.
