I’m A Celebrity camp mates have 24-hour access to psychological support

The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ camp mates have "24-hour access" to medical and psychological support.
Iain Lee sparked concerns for his welfare after he broke down in tears and had to be given oxygen by medics after he pulled out of the underwater trial the Temple of Gloom over the weekend, but bosses of the ITV show are adamant none of the contestants are in danger because they’re being watched by professionals and can speak to them whenever they need to.
An ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ spokesman told MailOnline: "The safety and well-being of all of our camp mates is our number one priority. All camp mates have 24 hour access to both medical and psychological support during their stay in camp."
A show insider added: "We won’t comment on individual cases, but we have a specialist team who are familiar with the challenges that life in the jungle presents and constantly monitor all of the camp mates’ behaviour at all times.
"In addition to the support that the team give Iain, he was roundly supported by his fellow camp mates after his trial."
The 44-year-old comedian – who has been very open about his battle with depression – was rumoured to be on the brink of a breakdown after the trial but his management team are adamant the reports are "nonsense" and he’s a "champion."
A source told The Sun Online: "The producers have already confirmed that specialists are on hand for ALL celebrities. This is standard practice for shows such as ‘I’m a Celebrity’, ‘Big Brother’ or ‘The Island’. The idea that they are there purely for Iain is nonsense. The idea that he is on the brink of a breakdown is nonsense.
"Iain is a champion for more open discussion about mental health and he has shown that already in camp."
