Ian Puleston-Davies wants Coronation Street character to return

Ian Puleston-Davies wants his ‘Coronation Street’ character to come back to finish Pat Phelan off.
The 59-year-old actor would love to see Owen return to the ITV soap to help with the demise of Pat (Connor McIntyre).
Ian told TV Times: "People are always asking me when I’m going to go back in and finish him off. I would have liked the two of them to have had a final showdown on the cobbles, a High Noon encounter! Owen needs to come down from Aberdeen and sort him out once and for all. It could still happen!"
Pat Phelan has been reigning terror on the street and was involved in the deaths of Andy Carver, Luke Britton and Vinny Ashford.
Meanwhile, Connor previously insisted Pat Phelan will get his comeuppance "for sure".
When asked if Phelan will get busted, Connor said: "That for sure will come."
And Connor thinks there is some good in Phelan but says it is too late to go back now, given all that he has done.
He added: "People say to me, ‘We can see that there’s a good man struggling to get out’. Really! What do you think I get asked the most? The question I get asked the most is, ‘Does he really love Eileen?’ Now isn’t that lovely. We know about all his misdemeanours, all his crimes, but does he really love Eileen. I think there was a big clue the other week when he thought Eileen might be in danger, he was beside himself …
"It might be a little late for [him to turn good]. He’s crossed the rubicon. But he’s a tragic figure in the sense that he makes these choices and inevitably because of his pathology, it’s the wrong ones. He’s a dangerous narcissist and he keeps on making the wrong choices. At the end of the day, it’s all about Pat."
