Anna Passey will miss Jimmy Essex "terribly" after his ‘Hollyoaks’ character was killed off.
The 33-year-old actress’ days on the Channel 4 soap are now "a little less beautiful" after the 33-year-old star’s alter-ego Adam Donovan was bumped off by his own father Glenn Donovan (Bob Cryer) in tragic scenes last night (22.05.18).
Anna – whose character Sienna Blake died last week only to come back to life – wrote on Twitter: "All of our working days just got a little less beautiful! @Jimmy_Essex you were incredible and we shall miss you terribly.Cant wait to see what you do next (sic)"
Tamara Wall – who plays Grace Black in the soap – was also left devastated at Jimmy’s exit.
She tweeted: "I cannot say how sad I am to lose my brother @Jimmy_Essex , bloody love you! And it’s still not sunk in that you’ve gone (sic)"
Glenn barely flinched as he killed his son in cold blood, after Adam revealed he was in fact the grass who had been informing policewoman DS Roxy (Lizzie Stavrou).
Adam’s death came about after Jimmy teased fans his character would be pushed to "breaking point" when Glenn planned to get him to kill Zack Loveday (Duayne Boachie), thinking he was the grass.
Last week, Jimmy said: "Trigger’s death was really tough on Adam, and it does still have a major effect on him.
"If he was forced to kill Zack, I think it would push him to breaking point. Adam isn’t a killer, he’s not cut out for this at all."
