Governess teases This Morning hosts with Bradley Walsh praise

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby jokingly cut Anne Hegerty’s interview short on ‘This Morning’ today (17.01.18) after she claimed Bradley Walsh was the best presenter.
The ‘Chase’ star – whose nickname is The Governess’ – landed herself in hot water during her appearance on the brunch time show as she heaped praise on her co-star for teaching her everything she needed to know to front her own programme ‘Britain’s Brightest Family’.
Speaking on ‘This Morning, she said when asked how ‘The Chase’ reacted to her new show: "[Bradley] was delighted… He came and said to me I’ve heard about your new gig and congratulations. I sat there thinking ‘I learned from the best, I’ve been watching you for years’."
Realising what she had said, Anne cheekily added: "And apologies, but no one can be as good as him. Sorry, you’re quite good, but…"
The studio erupted into laughter and Phillip – who is up against Bradley for Best Television Presenter at the National Television Awards – shot the camera a stern look.
He laughed: "Well, that came out of nowhere! Thanks for coming."
Meanwhile, the 59-year-old star also admitted she can be very competitive on ‘The Chase’ – and has even lashed out at the set out of frustration when things haven’t gone her way.
She said: "I have been known to come back down those stairs and kick the set…
"Sometimes when things just went wrong and I just couldn’t get the answers up to my brain in time, it can be so frustrating. It’s our reputation up there, and we don’t want to look foolish."
