Gemma Collins was given BBC warning

Gemma Collins was given a "full briefing" before going on stage at the Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday (22.10.17).
The 36-year-old TV star was left nursing a bad back and bruises after she dramatically fell through a trap door, from which a hydraulic platform lifted out ‘Love Island’s Amber Davies, Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville, at the SSE Arena, Wembley, and though she previously claimed she "didn’t even know" about the hazard, it has now been claimed she was aware and had been "warned" about the hole.
The BBC told MailOnline: "The BBC takes the health and safety of everyone involved very seriously and we are awaiting a full report from Remedy – the production company who made the show – about the incident. But they have told us that Gemma did receive a full briefing before going on stage."
And a source added: "Before Gemma went on the female producer told her there was a trap door in the middle of the stage. The [producer] told Gemma to stay to the left. It’s not true that Gemma wasn’t warned about it."
Gemma previously claimed she was going to sue the BBC because she feared she would die or been left disabled following the incident.
She said: "I’m in total shock. It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale.
"I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it. I could have been legless. Legless!
"I’m not being funny, I didn’t even get a tenner for turning up. I didn’t even know there was a hole there.
"To be honest when it happened I didn’t know where I was, what day of the week it was. No joke, my life did flash before my eyes. I thought I was dead.
"People couldn’t see it, but underneath the stage there’s a lot of machinery and the ‘Love Island’ people were coming up on a platform.
"When I actually went down into the pit, they were screaming, ‘Get her up because her legs are going to get crushed, her legs are going to get crushed’."
Gemma also claimed that no one at the BBC has apologised for the incident, and she confirmed she plans to pursue the issue with her lawyer.
She said: "I’ve got to consult a lawyer, yeah. The BBC, they’ve not been in touch with any compensation or anything – or even an apology.
"It’s very important this gets sorted out because really you know what it is – it’s negligence. Do you know what I find shocking? The BBC hasn’t sent any flowers. Nothing."
