Gemma Collins is wanted by ‘The Only Way is Essex’ bosses to make a cameo in the reality show.
The 38-year-old TV personality is busy making her new ‘Diva’ TV series with Lime Pictures, and bosses of the hit ITVBe reality show – in which the bubbly star shot to fame – are hopeful she will make an appearance in the new season because she is such a big hit with fans.
A TV source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "Producers are desperate to make Gemma’s cameo work, even though her schedule is packed and her mind is elsewhere.
"She couldn’t make the recent trip to Thailand but the film crew are hoping that now everyone is back on home turf they’ll be able to get a camera in front of her for at least a few scenes."
The blonde is thought to have been in high demand since she recently appeared on ‘Dancing On Ice’, but may not be the only star who could make a return to the series.
James ‘Arg’ Argent – who has had an on/off relationship with Gemma – previously teased he wants to head back to the show after he was absent from the last season to deal with his demons.
He said: "So I had a bit of a break from ‘TOWIE’, I wasn’t in the last series. I had a bit of a difficult time over the summer and then the series was coming up and I didn’t really feel ready to film.
"Obviously I am the only original ‘TOWIE’ cast member remaining and obviously I’ve been there since day one. Lucky for me – and I appreciate it – all the love and support from ITV and Lime Pictures.
"What I’m told is the door is always open for me. So next year, there’s a good possibility I’ll go back on to ‘TOWIE’."
