Gemma Collins urges people to ‘cut her a bit of slack’ on Dancing On Ice

Gemma Collins thinks the public should "cut her a bit of slack" on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star says it is "physically more tiring" for her on the skating show more than anyone else because of the extra weight she is carrying.
She said: "James had to lift me into bed last night and help me run a bath. I’ve lost my independence and I can’t bear that. It was really upsetting because, at the end of the day, people have to cut me a bit of slack. I’m the biggest girl in the competition. It’s physically more tiring for me than for everyone else, I’m carrying weight that the others haven’t got. Both of my knees have taken a battering since doing the show, so that’s an area where I’ve suffered.
"I’ve fallen on my knees so many times I’ve been wearing kneepads to train. The medic was already worried. It was really painful yesterday morning. But to be honest, I want to get back out there on the show. Everyone’s rooting for me to do well so taking a week off isn’t an option as far as I’m concerned. If they can strap my knee up and give me a cortisone injection, I’ll be all right."
And the 37-year-old television personality feels a "lot of pressure" from online trolls.
She added to The Sun newspaper: "Their viewing figures are through the roof, ain’t they? I’m not complaining, but it puts on a lot of pressure. I felt really unwell. There’s been so much stress after all the trolling and pressure. We are there from 7.45am on Sunday and do three rehearsals, plus a whole run-through of the live show. I’ve fallen in rehearsal, out of nowhere, and had anxiety. I was just under so much pressure from the week before so I just blacked out. But I knew I had to get back up and I’m so grateful I got up and just carried on."
