Gemma Collins: ‘I’m doing it for all the curvy girls’

Gemma Collins has hit back at Jason Gardiner, and admitted she is doing ‘Dancing On Ice’ for "all the curvy girls".
The 37-year-old reality star wowed the public with her performance on Sunday night (06.01.18), but acid-tongue judge Jason wasn’t enamoured with her routine.
However, Gemma has dismissed the panellist’s feedback – in which she described her performance as a "a French and Saunders parody" – and says she is thinking about opening her own skating class.
Speaking about Jason’s comments on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (07.01.18), Gemma said: "Do you know what, do I really care? I’m the GC baby, I’m doing it for all the curvy girls out there that probably never thought they’d be able to ice skate.
"I’m gonna set up my own ice skating dancercise class – yeah! Watch this space."
Dressed in a sparkling gold outfit, ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star took to the ice for the first time to perform her skating routine to Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ alongside her professional partner Matt Evers.
Impressing the judges with the splits and an impromptu hair flick, Gemma managed a respectable 16 points out of 40, putting her in the middle of the leaderboard, and the star confessed that she can’t wait to get back on the ice.
She added: "I just want to say, the flick weren’t make to be in it. I got carried away I thought I was Beyoncé! Do you know what bring it on – lets do some more."
Following her performance, Jason told her: "You talk a big talk but you don’t back it up. It reminded me of a French and Saunders parody.
"This was uncomfortable to watch. You haven’t got any technique."
Richard Blackwood, Brian McFadden, Saira Khan, Ryan Sidebottom, Melody Thornton, Wes Nelson will all take to the ice for the first time next Sunday (13.01.19).
