Gemma Collins: Dancing on Ice is ‘very therapeutic’

Gemma Collins has founding ‘Dancing on Ice’ training to be "very therapeutic".
The 37-year-old star has signed up to compete on the new series of the ice skating show in January, and she has enjoyed taking to the ice during rehearsals because she cannot be contacted when she is hard at it learning her moves.
She said: "I’m not just saying it, there’s been tears, there’s been moments when I’ve gone, ‘I’m not going to be able to do this,’ but I just love it.
"I don’t know what’s happened but I am at one with the ice. I love her. I absolutely love her. When you get on the ice no one can get to you, no one can ring your mobile phone, it is very therapeutic. I am enjoying it."
Gemma is to perform to a Beyoncé track for her first routine, and she is determined to prove to all her doubters that she has staying power on the ice.
Speaking at the ‘Dancing on Ice’ launch at the Natural History Museum in central London on Tuesday (18.12.18), she added: "I am coming out to Beyoncé on show one and I’m going to make everyone that ever doubted me eat their words.
"I’ve made it my mission to prove to everybody.
"I’m sticking it out, I’m really enjoying it.
"Look, I’m never gonna be Torvill and Dean status, but you never know."
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star recently admitted her training has been "absolutely sensational", and she’s really enjoyed teaming up with pro skater Matt Evers.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Gemma said: "Training’s going really good, absolutely sensational. Matt’s really lovely, he’s good fun, he gets me, gets it and gets what needs to be done."
