G-Eazy wants to be an actor.
The ‘Me, Myself & I’ hitmaker has revealed he is putting music on the back burner so he can chase his dream of making it in Hollywood.
He claims he has already started auditioning for roles in movies since signing to a big agency and when speaking to TMZ, he told Will Smith to "watch out".
His new plans come after the rapper admitted the studio is his "therapy" following his split from singer Halsey.
He said: "I’m hosting the official after-party and then I’m going to the studio. Anytime anything’s going on in my life, I go straight to the studio. That’s my therapy. That’s where I get it out. Other than that, it’s my favourite place to be. It’s my happy place."
G-Eazy was recently forced to deny that he is dating Demi Lovato, insisting they are "just friends".
Pressed on whether he’s dating Demi, he snapped: "We’re just friends! It’s just one of those things that comes with the territory. You trade in your anonymity in exchange for some of your success in the public eye. You have to remember the blessings and remember how grateful you are to be here in the first place and understand some of that is just what comes with the territory."
Halsey’s split from the 29-year-old rapper was confirmed in a statement posted to her Instagram account earlier this month.
She wrote: "I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel I need to inform my fans. G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time."
