Fuller House won’t be reaching out to Olsen twins anymore

‘Fuller House’ bosses have "given up" asking Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to appear on the show.
The 31-year-old twins began their acting career from the age of nine months, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on ‘Full House’ from 1987 to 1995, and though the door is always "open" for them to reprise the role on the spin-off show – which is currently airing its third season – producers will no longer be reaching out directly to the fashion designers and have stopped making reference to their absence on the show.
Creator Jeff Franklin told TVLine: "Personally, I’ve given up asking them. The door is open, but I’m not going to be calling them anymore to invite them. They just don’t seem interested in coming.
"It’s been three years of invitations, so they know the door is open. It’s up to them to decide if they want to come play or not."
The sisters – who haven’t acted together since 2004’s ‘New York Minute’ – said before the show was rebooted that they were considering returning to the franchise, but planned to seek advice from their on-screen father, Bob Saget, first.
Speaking after cast member John Stamos revealed the show would be heading to Netflix, Mary-Kate said: "We just found out about it today. I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening. "I’m shocked I haven’t heard from John."
Ashley added: "I ran into Bob the other day and we didn’t even talk about it. I’m going to call Bob and get his perspective."
However, they were ultimately the only main cast from the original show not to return to the programme.
‘Full House’ originally aired from 1987 to 1995 as a comedy series following three men raising three young girls in San Francisco.
