Felicity Jones was a Star Wars fan before being cast in Rogue One

Felicity Jones was a fan of ‘Star Wars’ before she joined the franchise.
The 33-year-old actress stars as Jyn Erso in the upcoming spin-off movie ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, and has said she can "remember watching" George Lucas’ original trilogy with her family when she was younger.
Appearing on ‘Good Morning America’, Felicity said: "I remember watching when I was a little girl. I’d watch at my cousin’s house with my older brother, and for some reason we’d be really close to the TV watching it. We would watch it on VHS. I just remember the opening titles going up the screen."
And it wasn’t just the ties to the ‘Star Wars’ mythical universe that drew Felicity to the role, as she also spoke out about how Rebel Alliance soldier Jyn’s "spirit" made her a "fantastic character" to portray.
She added: "It was the opportunity to play a kick-a** girl. She’s a real live wire. She’s got real spirit, and it was a just a fantastic character to make."
The news of Felicity’s excitement toward the sci-fi spin off comes after she recently revealed she had become "obsessed with stunts" as it was something she’d never done before taking part in the feature.
She said: "I loved the action side of it because it’s something I’ve never done before.
"I learnt how to do kung fu and now I’ve become obsessed with stunts and being on wires."
Felicity trained "every day" for the role prior to filming.
She said: "I’ve never done this level of physical preparation for something before. Particularly for ‘Rogue One’, where I was training every day and doing kung fu rehearsals on a daily basis. But that’s part of the reason why I wanted to do it, because it was very different from what I’d done before."
