Emmerdale’s Mark Charnock teases ‘big reveal’ in Who Killed Graham plot

Mark Charnock says tonight’s (23.01.20) ‘Emmerdale’ is a watch "through the fingers job", and he teased there is a "big reveal" to come this evening.
The 51-year-old star’s character Marlon Dingle is one of the suspects in the Who Killed Graham Foster? murder mystery storyline, for which each episode this week is playing out from a different character’s perspective, and he says the ep focusing on Marlon tonight is a thriller.
He said: "There’s a revelation tonight and I think the audience will go, ‘Oh! Oh my word.’
"It’ll be a [watch] through the fingers job.
"Marlon feels helpless … They’re going to take Leo away and he’s been there before.
"Tonight is one of the very big reveals, there is a big reveal at the end of tonight’s episode."
And Mark admits the soap’s bosses didn’t tell the cast members involved much about the plot until the "very last minute".
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: "It’s been thrilling to be part of it because it’s moved like lightning.
"When we first got the scripts, we didn’t know. We had no idea where it was going to go.
"They kept it really secret until the very last minute.
"It’s been like reading a thriller, week after week. You go, ‘What?!’ "
Mark’s comments come after Andrew Scarborough – who plays Graham – admitted it was "fairly obvious" his character would be killed off at some point.
He said: "With a character like Graham, who lurks in the shadows, I think it was fairly obvious that was going to happen at some point.
"I don’t know who would murder him. Who would have the guts to murder him, more importantly.
"Kim is very upset, Jamie is very upset."
