Ed Sheeran feared peeing himself in front of thousands

Ed Sheeran feared peeing himself in front of thousands of people during his concert in Cardiff on Saturday (23.06.18).
The 27-year-old pop star abruptly halted his concert at the Principality Stadium on two separate occasions, telling the sold-out crowd that he needed to use the toilet before he was able to continue.
Ed explained: "You know what, I’ve never done that before. You know when you gotta go, you gotta go. I thought interrupting a show to be like, ‘I’m going off stage’ is far better than a picture in the paper the next day.
"But I was only off stage for like a minute. I’ve never done it, I’ve never stepped off stage to do that before."
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker initially tried to ignore his urge to relieve himself but the sensation rapidly grew more urgent.
He continued: "So I was there, I was playing, I was singing – but it was getting worse and worse and worse; you know when you start sweating?
"The problem is, because I play the show solo, I can’t just be like ‘Hey band, start playing!’ So I literally had to put the guitar down and be like, ‘Talk among yourselves.’ Usually, [with] the adrenaline and all the water you drink, you sweat out. But I drank so much water before the show."
Following the show, it’s been suggested Ed’s fans were livid with the chart-topping star for taking two toilet breaks.
But the ‘Lego House’ singer pointed out that it didn’t stop him from playing his originally planned set list.
He told ‘The Big Narstie Show’: "I read that the next day someone said, ‘I’m disappointed’. But I mean, I still played the whole show."
During his gig, Ed told the crowd he "needed a pee" after performing his single ‘Galway Girl’, and he subsequently walked off stage for a second time during a rendition of ‘Photograph’.
