Dustin Diamond goes back to jail

Dustin Diamond has been arrested again.
The ‘Saved By The Bell’ star has reportedly been accused of violating his probation – after he served three months behind bars for stabbing a man in a bar brawl on Christmas Day in Wisconsin in 2014 – and was returned to the same Ozaukee County Jail on Wednesday (25.05.16).
Charges have not yet been filed against the former TV star, who is most famed for playing Screech in the popular 90s sitcom.
Dustin, 39, recently opened up about his conviction and time in prison during an interview with his former ‘Saved By The Bell’ co-star Mario Lopez – who played A.C. Slater – and said he tried to defend himself and his fiancée at the time, Amanda Schutz.
He told TV show ‘Extra’: "One of the girl’s friends [Amanda] was talking to sucker-punched my fiancée. She leaned back to me and her face was covered in blood."
Dustin said he then pulled out the switchblade knife after one of the men in the group grabbed Amanda’s hair.
He recalled: "I opened my pocket knife and said, ‘Let my wife go immediately,’ which worked."
The actor said being locked up is a "scary" experience and he was determined to get his life back on track after getting out.
He said: "It’s pretty daunting. It’s pretty scary going into that environment. I found that as long as you follow the rules and stay with the system, it works. You can get in and out unscathed.
He added: "I want to put the tomfoolery and malarkey behind me…for that clean slate. Time for a change."
Dustin had delayed entering jail for over six months, when he filed a motion to appeal in June 2015, after being convicted of the crime in May.
Amanda was also found guilty of disorderly conduct.
The couple were ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution to the stabbing victim, who suffered a non-life-threatening wound, and Dustin was further sentenced to 15 months of probation.
