Dogs delight at Britain’s Got Talent auditions

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judges have been blown away by a number of dog acts in this year’s auditions.
Following the success of Ashley and Pudsey, and Jules and Matisse in 2012 and 2015 respectively, clever canines have been taking to the stage with a variety of weird and wonderful skills, much to the delight of Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
When the show returns to TV, fans will be treated to the sight of a poker-playing Jack Russell, two singing Great Danes, a pair of poodles driving a pink Cadillac and even a dog that does yoga.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Talented dogs have always been part of Britain’s Got Talent but this year there are more good ones than ever.
"It really is the year of the dog and the judges couldn’t get enough of them. The poodles were so fantastic they got a standing ovation."
And the talented dogs were in good company, as at one of the London auditions, Simon brought his Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly, David had his beloved pooch Bert, and Amanda had her puppy, while hosts Ant and Dec also had their devoted hounds with them.
And the famous canines even got involved with the auditions as doggy yoga instructor Mahny persuaded the stars to bring their pets on stage to try out some poses.
The source said: "The audience loved seeing the judges and their dogs getting involved. It will be a fantastic TV moment."
But dogs aren’t the only acts to turn heads at this year’s auditions, as viewers can also look forward to an Italian man who dresses up as a pair of fake boobs, three builders dressed as the Spice Girls, a heavy metal singer and a raunchy trapeze artist.
