Diplo says Justin Bieber ‘killed it’ on Cold Water

Diplo says Justin Bieber "killed it" on their new song ‘Cold Water’.
The 37-year-old DJ unveiled the track on Friday (22.07.16) which features Major Lazer – comprised of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire – Bieber and MO and was co-written by Ed Sheeran and co-produced by Benny Blanco.
Diplo is thrilled with the eclectic nature of the tune but has praised Bieber, 22, for his vocal performance.
Speaking on radio show ‘DJs on Tour’ – presented by BBC Radio 1 host Danny Howard – Diplo said: "It sounds like Major Lazer, it’s got a dancehall tempo. Ed Sheeran actually wrote it with us. It’s got African guitar and a kind of dancehall groove to it, but it sounds like a Bieber song. He just killed it. The vocal tracking sounds like 100 per cent Justin Bieber."
Diplo and Bieber previously collaborated together on ‘Where are U Now’ with Skrillex and the dance producer has hinted they are more songs coming in the future.
He said: "You know, I’ve been writing with him for a long time and we did some cool material together – we did a new song for our project."
Since the track dropped the artists involved have taken to social media to share their excitement.
Bieber posted a series of stills from the accompanying video on Twitter, while Danish singer/songwriter MO, 27, tweeted: "@MajorLazer x @JustinBieber x @MOMOMOYOUTH #ColdWater is streaming online now @Spotify!!!
"So honored to be back working with my family at @MajorLazer + @JustinBieber for the first time. Luckiest b*****d in tha world!! #ColdWater. (sic)"
