Denise Welch will never star Celebrity Big Brother All Stars special

Denise Welch will never appear in a ‘Celebrity Big Brother All Stars’ special.
The 58-year-old actress won the popular reality show in 2012, but she has vowed not to enter into the infamous house in the future because she "didn’t enjoy" her experience and wouldn’t want to relive the "difficult time" again.
Speaking about starring in another season where the winners of previous years come together to be crowned the ultimate champion, she said: "I won it so there would be no point. And I didn’t enjoy it – it was a difficult time in my life."
However, the ‘Waterloo Road’ star – who played the role of French teacher Steph Haydock in the BBC production – is glad she appeared in the show because it made her realise what she wanted to do with her future.
She explained: "It was a catalyst for me and gave me a lot of time to think about what I didn’t want in my life anymore, so I’m thankful to it for that."
Although Denise has admitted she is very selective with the projects she now takes on and has turned down a lot of job opportunities, although she used to accept any role because she felt she had to "follow the money".
The star – who has sons Matthew and Louis with her former partner and ‘Benidorm’ star Tim Healy – told the Metro newspaper: "It’s hard work [acting]. I’ve always been a hired hand and, being a producer, you have to be the boss, which doesn’t come easily to me, but I’ve enjoyed it.
"I’m at a stage where I don’t want to be on the telly just for the sake of it. I turn down a lot of stuff.
"I’ve always had to follow the money and do ‘drop your knickers and cry murder’ and all of that stuff but I don’t have to any more."
