Davina McCall mourns beloved grandmother

Davina McCall is mourning the loss of her beloved grandmother Pippy.
The 50-year-old presenter took to her Instagram on Friday (15.06.18) to pay a touching tribute the 98-year-old "matriach" of the family, who died "peacefully in her sleep" earlier this week.
The ‘Long Lost Family’ host was brought up by Pippy and her husband – before moving in with her father as a teenager – after her parents split when she was just three, and the TV star says she was more "like a mother" to her.
Alongside a picture of Pippy on Instagram, Davina wrote: "Our lovely Pippy died peacefully in her sleep on Monday at 98 years old She was the matriarch of our family. The glue that kept us all together . She was like a mother to me… [sic]"
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host – who has Holly, 16, Tilly, 14, and Chester, 11, with ex-husband Matthew Robertson – added that Pippy was like a "rock" through difficult times over the years, and her "special" gift was being able to "read people".
She continued: "… and a rock for so many people in their times of need. It’s thanks to her I’ve been raising money for @actionmedres for 41 years , she was a fantastic role model . She was strong, kind, funny, cuddly, clever and she loved music and singing . She was a great mum , sister, auntie, grandma , and a loving and loyal friend . She was phenomenally intuitive…she could really read people.. and used to say « pippy knows » and she did ! anyone that’s read « lessons » will know how special she was … love you Pippy (sic)"
Davina’s grandmother passing away comes seven months after her split from ‘Pet Rescue’ host Matthew.
