David Easter vows to ditch lasagne after Hollyoaks death

David Easter has vowed to never eat lasagne again after his ‘Hollyoaks’ character ate a poisoned pasta dish and died.
The 59-year-old star’s alter-ego, soap super-villain Mac Nightingale, finally met his maker in last night’s (20.03.19) E4 episode when serial killer Breda McQueen – who is on a mission to rid the village of all the bad dads – made him her latest victim after spiking his lasagne and then bashing him over the head with the dish to finish him off.
As a result, David has been put off the meal for life.
He wrote on Twitter: "I will Never eat Lasagne Again!! (sic)"
After whacking him over the head following a struggle on the stairs, menacing Breda – played by Moya Brady – said: "This is how it ends. This is how you die, pathetic and alone."
She later told him: "I’ve known some bad dads in my time but you were the worst."
It comes after Mac had convinced Breda to kill his son James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), in exchange for him keeping quiet about her murderous ways.
And while she poisoned him and told Mac she had done the deed, James is still alive.
Moya recently described her serial killer alter-ego as "adorable".
She said: "Well, there’s no one like Breda is there? She’s a completely unique character … An elderly woman of advancing years who’s on a moral crusade, and she’s adorable."
Gregory admitted he would miss his on-screen family if his alter-ego meets his maker at some point.
When asked what he would miss, he replied: "My much depleted Nightingale family.
"We’ve had such a lot of fun over the past few years, and I miss working with Richard, Sophie, Jen Amrit and Jared, who have all long since left the village."
