David Easter teases Mac Nightingale’s Hollyoaks revenge

David Easter will be involved in a "heavy" ‘Hollyoaks’ storyline, which will see his character Mac Nightingale wreak revenge.
The 58-year-old actor’s evil alter-ego, who was diagnosed with locked-in syndrome following a fall at The Dog In The Pond at the end of last year, will soon be up to his old tricks again on the Channel 4 soap, and David has promised fans they can look forward to a "juicy" plot.
He said: "He’s obviously going to have some sort of revenge.
"You’ll have to wait until he gets back.
"You’re going to find out a little bit more about what happened with James. So that’s going to be very interesting.
"It’s going to be a pretty heavy storyline and there are lots of juicy things coming up. So keep watching and you’ll see."
David also hinted Mac could do away with Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).
When asked who he would like Mac to bump off, he replied: "It’s got to be that Tony Hutchinson, he’s too good isn’t he? I’d stick him in a curry."
The former ‘Family Affairs’ star – who is "chuffed to bits" to be up for Best Villain at the British Soap Awards – admitted he was keen to act out his near-tragic fall himself last year, but he wasn’t allowed to due to "insurance purposes".
Speaking in a Q&A video session on the ‘Hollyoaks’ Twitter account while standing outside the infamous window, he added: "I wanted to do it but for insurance purposes I couldn’t do it.
"It was a great experience, but a stuntman did the scene."
