Danny Dyer set for Who Do You Think You Are? follow up show

Danny Dyer is set to star in a show exploring his family tree following the success of his ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ episode.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor was left shocked when told he was distantly related to former kings of England, Edward III and William The Conqueror, in a 2016 episode of the celebrity show, and a new BBC programme will delve deeper into the former ‘Football Factory’ star’s roots.
A BBC source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "The reaction to Danny’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ episode was huge last time, so bosses thought they should go back and have another look.
"There is only so much of the genealogy journey you can show in an hour, so viewers will get to have another delve into the deep, dark history of Danny Dyer and Co."
The show is being created by Wall to Wall – which is behind a number of history programmes, and ‘Long Lost Family’ – and filming into Danny’s ancestry has already started.
Should the latest programme also prove to be a success, the ‘I Believe in UFOs’ presenter is being tipped to host historical documentaries.
During Danny’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ episode, researchers also discovered he had a blood link to Thomas Cromwell, who was King Henry VIII’s chief minister – much to Danny’s delight.
Speaking previously about the connection, ‘The Business’ actor said: "He came from a slum, I come from a slum.
"Cromwell left the country at 14, I started acting at 14.
"He was a self-taught lawyer. I’m a self-taught actor.
"Cromwell had two daughters and a son. I’ve got two daughters and a son.
"Cromwell wrote his last letter to Henry VIII begging for his life, on July 24, which is my birthday."
