Daniel Radcliffe set for Who Do You Think You Are?

Daniel Radcliffe, Kate Winslet and Naomie Harris will appear on the new series of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’.
The geneaology show returns for its 16th season this summer and as well as the Hollywood stars, former ‘X Factor’ judge Sharon Osbourne, comedian Katherine Ryan, ‘Have I Got News For You’ panellist Paul Merton and reality star-turned-presenter Mark Wright will be tracing their ancestry in the upcoming episodes.
And for the first time, Jack Whitehall will appear together with his father Michael to explore their family history, where they discover their family’s link to the Newport Rising, the last large-scale armed rebellion against authority in Great Britain.
Executive producer Colette Flight said: "We’re delighted to have this incredible line-up of stars and to have captured these journeys of discovery as they explore their extraordinary family trees.
"What they uncover is revelatory, moving, often funny and always fascinating. Many of our celebrities’ ancestors were caught up in momentous historical events which we are covering for the first time in the series."
BBC Commission Editor Abigail Priddle added: "I’m thrilled that the BAFTA winning Who Do You Think You Are? is returning to BBC One, now in its sixteenth series and with another amazing line up of celebrities who will be delving into their ancestry, it promises to be a real treat for viewers."
Among the revelations will be Mark’s discovery he has Spanish and Jewish roots, with one distant relative having been tortured during the Spanish Inquisition, and ‘Titanic’ star Kate finding out she was related to a military drummer boy as she explores her Swedish heritage.
‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel is shown an ancestor’s moving letters, which were written during World War I, while one of the celebrities learns an ancestor was burned at the stake, and another discovers a relative who was involved in a banjo-related assault.
