Dale Winton buried with mother

Dale Winton’s body has been buried alongside his beloved mother’s.
The ‘Supermarket Sweep’ star tragically passed away in April at the age of 62, and a few days after it was revealed his death was due to natural causes, he was buried with actress Sheree Winton at Golders Green Crematorium in North London following a brief service attended by family and close friends.
And afterwards, the group celebrated the memory of the popular star with a lunch at the upmarket Ivy restaurant in London.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "He was buried in the Southern garden to be with his mum.
"It was a very private service followed by a lunch at one of his favourite restaurants."
Dale – who was just 21 when his mum took her own life – previously admitted he had never got over his beloved parent’s passing.
He wrote in his autobiography: "In her last note to me mum said she was sorry, and asked me to water the geraniums.
"I was heartbroken. That feeling has never fully gone away.
"I had some really desperate personal moments after mum died. On one occasion I telephoned the Samaritans and saw a volunteer.
"Whatever people say to comfort one, suicide is chiefly thought of as the ultimate rejection of loved ones, as well as of life, and those who are left need time to get beyond these thoughts."
Dale’s funeral took place a month after his passing on what would have been his 63rd birthday, in a touching ceremony which was attended by several celebrities including Piers Morgan, Gloria Hunniford, Christopher Biggins, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Tony Blackburn, Anthea Turner, and Vanessa Feltz.
Taking to Twitter after the funeral, Piers wrote: "Wonderful service to celebrate the extraordinary life of Dale Winton.
"Plenty of fun amid the sadness, just as he would have wanted.
"RIP Dale, you brightened up a lot of lives on & off screen. (sic)"
David and Martine McCutcheon both gave readings at the Humanist service, and boy band Blue and Claire Sweeney performed.
Claire sang Cilla Black song ‘Alfie’ and Dusty Springfield hit ‘Going Back’, while Blue – made up of Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa – performed their tune ‘One Love’.
