Craig Revel Horwood to spill ‘backstage goss’ in new book

Craig Revel Horwood is set to expose all the "backstage gossip" in his new book.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has teased that he will spill all the ballroom and latin show’s big "secrets" in his forthcoming autobiography ‘In Strictest Confidence’ – which will hit book shelves in October – and delve into the tales of his heartbreak.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "It’s wonderful to be writing another volume. I’m told I should slow down as I get older, which is ridiculous as I seem to have speeded up. I have lots of stories to tell, many of which I hope will raise a smile."
Although the 53-year-old choreographer claimed last year that he likes to "protect his privacy", it’s believed his new book will shed light on his doomed relationship with Damon Scott, which ended in bitterness in 2016, as they’re no longer "friends."
He explained: "With my other lovers and boyfriends I’ve remained friends. But there’s no way with Damon. There is nothing really you can do about it because there is a side to everybody’s story, everyone’s broken relationship."
Just after their split, Damon claimed that the break down of their relationship was due to the fact that Craig allegedly had a problem with alcohol.
He said: "Craig is like Jekyll and Hyde when drink is involved — and drink is always involved. His life revolves around it. First it’ll be the Veuve Clicquot champagne, then Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, then — when he’s drunk — vodka with Diet Coke.
"We could get through a bottle and a half of vodka between us in a night. At times that was a daily thing. If I drank that much now I’d be hospitalised.
"But Craig always denied he had a problem. If I mentioned rehab to him he’d just throw it back in my face and say I drank too much — which I did then."
As well as opening up about his time on the BBC One show and his failed past romances, publisher, Michael O’Mara, said the star would talk also exclusively about the "pain of losing his dad" who died from skin cancer last year at the age of 74.
