‘Loose Women’ star Coleen Nolan taught Rixton guitarist Danny Wilkin how to put on a condom.
The 49-year-old TV star’s 22-year-old son Jake Roche is the frontman of the pop band and she regularly dishes out sex education to him and the rest of the group and even gave detailed instructions of how to use the contraceptive device properly.
Danny told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She taught me to pinch the end and roll it down."
Jake – whose dad is Coleen’s ex-husband, ‘EastEnders’ actor Shane Richie – added: "I send a text to my mum if I’ve got a problem. She’s always there for me and my mates. I’m not embarrassed of her, she’s great."
Their bandmate Charley Bagnall also relies on Coleen for advice about his love life, admitting: "I’ve gone to her with girlfriend problems, STI problems."
Although Coleen – who has another son, Shane Roche, from her marriage to Shane, and a daughter Ciara with her husband Ray Fensome – is very open-minded and honest when it comes to sex, Jake insists he and the rest of Rixton would be in big trouble if he ever took drugs.
Speaking about his mother’s reaction would be if he dabbled in illegal substances, Jake said: "Mum would kill me. She panics if I accidentally take a paracetamol."
