Clean Bandit LP inspired by founding members break-up

Clean Bandit’s new album is inspired by founding members Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson’s break-up.
The former lovers have called time on their relationship after eight years together and the ‘Rather Be’ hitmakers have used the forthcoming record to get over one and other.
Singer Grace, 30, told the Daily Star newspaper: "There’s a lot of new songs about breaking up. Jack and I were a couple for eight years until we started this album actually, so I guess that’s been a big part f it. It’s been amazing and really cathartic to be able to work it on the album."
Meanwhile, the electronic pop group have been in the studio with the likes of Sir Elton John and they’ve now revealed there are several more guests on their follow-up to 2014’s ‘New Eyes’ including pop beauty Zara Larsson.
Grace previously told BANG Showbiz: "We’ve been working with Elton John recently.
"There will be some artists that you might not expect on the album. Zara Larsson we’ve been working with and a load of others and yeah there will be surprises. "
The ‘Rockabye’ hitmakers were left in "shock" earlier this month with the departure of violinist Neil Milan, but Grace says they are used to having an "ever-changing" team and are "excited" for what the future holds.
Of Neil’s exit, she said: "It was a big shock for all of us. We are very sad about it. But I was saying just now that our project since the beginning we’ve had so many different people involved, but it is ever-changing and ever-evolving. It’s exciting as well as sad. It’s like a double-edged thing."
