Chrissy Teigen ‘cried like a baby’ over magazine cover

Chrissy Teigen "cried like a baby" when she found out she was on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue 2014.

The model graces the front of US magazine’s most popular annual issue alongside models Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge and was overwhelmed when she found out she had been picked for the honour.

Her husband, singer John Legend, told TV show ‘Good Morning America’: "She was so excited, and it was a surprise because you never know who’s going to be on the cover. These are all beautiful women.

"She’s been in the issue for several years now, and every year it’s been someone else. And this year it’s her. We’re very excited about it."

Chrissy took to Twitter to express her excitement, writing: "I mean what else is there to say. I just cannot believe it. What an honor. Never, ever, ever have felt this kind of pure joy. Crazy crazy. (sic)"

The girls were told they had made the cover during an interview with the Sports Illustrated team, which left them all visibly shocked and excited, with Chrissy in tears.

Lily later tweeted: "Feeling so blessed to be on this iconic @si_swimsuit Sports illustrated cover with these beauties."

Nina wrote as the cover was publicly revealed this morning (14.02.14): "I just woke up. Its real. Wow."
