Charlie Clements doesn’t regret EastEnders exit

Charlie Clements doesn’t "regret" leaving ‘EastEnders’.
The 28-year-old actor turned his back on the BBC One soap, in which he portrayed gentle businessman Bradley Branning, in 2009 but, despite bagging big storylines during his time on the show, he thinks he made the right decision to quit when he did.
Appearing on ‘Loose Women’ today (13.04.16), he said: "I don’t regret it [leaving ‘EastEnders’]. By leaving it’s allowed me to do other things. I had a great time on the show when I was there but it was time to go."
And, although Charlie won’t ever be able to return to the show due to his alter-ego plunging to his death off the roof of the Queen Victoria pub, the flame-haired hunk hasn’t been short of television deals since his dramatic departure.
Charlie will next be seen on screen as the Henry VII in Channel 5’s forthcoming show ‘Henry VIII and His Six Wives’.
Speaking about exploring his new part as the infamous British monarch, who divorced two of his wives and had two of his wives executed, he said: "I go from 17 to 46, if I remember rightly. That whole period in history is so other worldly, it’s so fascinating that you read about it and you can’t believe it actually happened. He’s often seen as this tyrant but when he was younger he was a man who loved being in love."
