Celine Dion’s son’s poker parties

Celine Dion’s 15-year-old son holds poker parties at their home.
The 48-year-old star loves it when her eldest son René-Charles has his pals over to stay at their house because he wasn’t able to make many friends during his younger years because the family was moving around to different areas so often.
She said: "In the old days we would move constantly. René-Charles barely had the chance to make friends at school before we changed places again.
"Today, thanks to sport, mainly golf and hockey, he has lots of friends. Some of them are even invited to the house for sleep-overs, poker parties or video games.
"I like to have a bunch of teenagers in the kitchen making crepes. He’s 15 years old, I don’t handcuff him. He’s young, he must live."
While Celine is unsure what career path René-Charles is going to head down, he loves to cook and has developed a penchant for smoking meat.
Celine – who also has five-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy with her late husband René Angélil, who passed away in January aged 73 – added to Paris Match magazine: "He adores cooking and watches a lot of programmes about it. We bought him an outdoor oven for smoking meat. He’ll choose his piece and ask for the chef’s advice."
Meanwhile, Celine previously admitted she was "proud" of her family for how they were coping with her husband’s death.
Speaking about her performance at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this week, she shared: "To try to perform that song without collapsing was big enough. And then I turned around and I saw my son. As a mother, I really, through this whole process of our new life, wanted to be strong.
"I thought I was going to make it through the whole night without tears and show strength, and love won. I just collapsed. I’m very thankful for the award and proud of my family so much."
