Cary Fukunaga open to Maniac season 2

Cary Fukunaga would "definitely" be interested in a second season of ‘Maniac’.
The 41-year-old director – whose hugely popular previous show ‘True Detective’ only ran for one series – has admitted he would be tempted by another run of his latest Netflix project.
Addressing the future of ‘Maniac’, he told the Hollywood Reporter: "When you spend that much time writing and developing these things, they exist in your mind as if real people existed.
"We can very easily figure out how to continue that story if Netflix wanted to."
However, Cary explained he did work on the project with the idea of giving it a definitive end rather than hinting at the possibility of having more of a story to tell.
He added: "We also wrote it to be a complete in one season. Were it to be turned into other seasons, there are ways to look at sequels.
"But we weren’t necessarily looking at it in a classic multi-season television way, throwing up a bunch of juicy morsels like bait for people to tune in for another season.
"We really tried to – as much as possible – satisfyingly end the story by the end."
Meanwhile, the filmmaker will be at the helm of ‘Bond 25’, and he has admitted he would love to see ‘Luther’ actor Idris Elba take on the iconic role.
He said: "That would be pretty cool to have Idris and I do a Bond film together. He can drive cars really well, he’s a gear-head, and he can do the action. If they wanted him to play Bond, he could do it."
