Carrie Underwood has surgery on wrist after fall

Carrie Underwood is "doing great" after having surgery on her wrist following a fall.
The ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker broke her wrist when she fell "hard" on some steps outside her house and has taken to social media to give her fans a health update.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well … even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on … I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me. (sic)"
It comes after Carrie’s representative insisted there was "no life-threating injuries" after the fall but did say it would take some time before Carrie was back on her feet.
They said in a statement: "On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home. While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall.
"Fisher was able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital. Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes."
And at the time, Carrie – who has Isaiah, two, with her husband Mike Fisher – took to social media to thank her fans for their well wishes.
She wrote on Twitter: "Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody … I’ll be alright … might just take some time … glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me. (sic)"
