Caroline Flack being in a Strictly pairing is like a relationship

Caroline Flack says being in a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance couple is like being in a relationship.
The 40-year-old television presenter won the BBC ballroom competition in 2014 with pro Pasha Kovalev and she insists there are many similarities to being in a successful partnership to being in a happy romantic relationship, because she had to share "trust and honesty" to Pasha.
She told ‘It Takes Two’ host Rylan Clark-Neal: "It’s never just about one person. Being in a ‘Strictly’ couple is like being in a relationship. You have to have all those same traits. It’s a partnership.
"You have the trust, honesty, communication. Get rid of the romantic bit. You don’t do it on your own."
The dancing competition has also provided plenty of romance over the years for both singletons and celebs who already have partners, becoming ‘the Strictly curse’.
Last year, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton coupled up shortly after winning the show, whilst YouTuber Joe Sugg fell in love with his pro partner Dianne Buswell on the dancefloor.
Pasha was partnered up with ‘Countdown’ presenter Rachel Riley in 2013, who he later coupled up with in 2015 after she split from her husband Jamie Gilbert in 2014 after 15 months of marriage.
The pair eloped to Las Vegas in June and are now expecting their first child together.
Meanwhile, the ‘Love Island’ host was jokingly labelled desperate by Rylan after she confessed it was her who asked ‘Strictly’ bosses to give her a chance.
Caroline said: "You add this whole chapter to your life you never thought you’d have. I think I asked to do it. I phoned up."
To which Rylan quipped: "Oh really, not desperate at all, darling!"
