Bruno Langley extends Coronation Street contract

Bruno Langley will remain on ‘Coronation Street’ for another year.
The 33-year-old actor – who first joined the soap 2001 and has appeared on and off ever since – has revealed he’s recently taken pen to paper and agreed to portrayed the lovable villain Todd Grimshaw for another 12 months after bosses asked to extend his contract, according to the Manchester Evening News Online.
Fans of the soap are no doubt thrilled that Bruno is staying for the foreseeable future after his on-screen brother Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) recently broke hearts when he fled the cobbles.
Speaking about is final scene with Ryan, he said: "Just doing those scenes where Jason is leaving, they were so hard to do.
"We grew up together. He was 16 when he joined the show, I was 17. So it was really hard to hold back the tears."
Meanwhile, bosses are remaining tight-lipped on what’s in store for Todd but it’s believed vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) may feature in his future as he’s recently developed feelings for him.
Meanwhile, Bruno isn’t the only cast member to get his contract renewed as Antony Cotton – who portrays gay machinist Sean Tully – and Brooke Vincent, who has spent over half her life portraying Sophie Webster on the show, have also agreed a deal with bosses that will keep them on the small screen until at least February 2017.
