Bruce Springteen extends Broadway residency by four months

Bruce Springsteen has extended his Broadway show until June 2018.
The ‘Born To Run’ star was originally booked to play an eight-week residency at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City, but before it even opened in October, it was announced he was extending the run until February 2018.
Now ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ has been extended by another four months, until June 30th 2018.
Bruce has also tweeted to reassure fans who had been unsuccessful in securing tickets in the original online sale that they will not have to re-register and will be given priority when it comes to buying tickets for the extended shows.
The 68-year-old rocker, who is also known as The Boss, opened his Broadway residency on October 3rd by dedicating the show to Tom Petty, who had recently passed away.
At the preview night, Bruce – famous for playing with The E Street Band – played 13 tracks, opening with ‘Growin’ Up’ and ‘My Hometown’, and highlights included ‘Born in the U.S.A’., ‘Dancing in the Dark’ and closing number ‘Born to Run’.
Meanwhile, despite being among the best-selling musicians of all time, Bruce admitted earlier this year that he still suffers from stage fright.
He previously explained: "It varies from night to night but whenever you’re going out in front of a crowd of any size, your body knows it.
"This is what I do. This is the only thing I do. This is the only thing I’m qualified to do. So it matters how I do it at night.
"There’s a lot of anticipatory anxiety which then translates into a raw shot of adrenaline once you’re out there. We come out to press our case very hard, about what we think about everything, I suppose, and life itself. And so it’s challenging nightly."
