Brooke Vincent isn’t ready for marriage.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Sophie Webster in the soap – says she isn’t in a hurry to follow in co-star Michelle Keegan’s footsteps by getting engaged to her footballer boyfriend Josh McEachran.
She said: "Michelle’s older than me so she’s had a lot more life experience. And I wouldn’t want to get engaged just because other people were doing it."
The 21-year-old star has been with her boyfriend for over two years and admits she’s surprised they’ve lasted so long because they have very different personalities.
She added to new! magazine: "It’s two and a half years now – I’m surprised he hasn’t killed me yet! He’s dead quiet and I talk everyone’s socks off. That’s my problem, I don’t let him get a word in edgeways."
While she’s not ready to tie the knot, Brooke admits she would love to have children one day – but will leave ‘Corrie’ first.
She said: "I’ve always wanted to be a stay-at-home mum, so maybe when that happens I might stop being Sophie Webster for a bit. My mum was 23 when she had me. Four of my friends have had babies recently and I do get broody. But I also understand how hard it is, so I think I’m going to get a few more years of sleep in!"
