Britney Spears teases ‘very chill’ new LP

Britney Spears’ new album will be "very chill."
The 34-year-old singer has remained tight-lipped on her forthcoming release over the coming months but has now revealed that her usual pop sound won’t be as prevalent on the next record as it will be much more "melodic" and influenced by classic rock band’s like the Rolling Stones, as well as popular 80s music.
Talking about the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’, she told E! News: "It’s very exciting. I’ve been working on this project for a year and a half now, almost two years so it really means a lot to me. It’s my baby.
"It’s a little melodic, a little more not so poppy.
"It’s kind of chill. Very chill. I’m old school. I like classic rock. I like the Rolling Stones. The Lumineers are really cool. Sade is nice. I like 80s music, too."
The ‘Piece of Me’ hitmaker was expected to drop the lead single ‘Make Me (Oooh)’ ahead of the Billboard Music Awards last weekend (May 22), but is expected to release the track, which features rapper G-Eazy, next month now with the entire record following in autumn.
The blonde beauty has also teased that the video for the track will be "all new, totally different and somewhat unexpected."
Britney performed a medley of her hits at the music extravaganza, held in Las Vegas, where she picked up Billboard’s Millennium Award, which acknowledges outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry.
The award was previously given to Beyoncé in 2011 and the late Whitney Houston in 2012.
